Best Bet Competition for February.
Please post your best win bet OR place bet for the February competition. Please note that it is only one bet per meeting, either your best win bet OR your best place bet. If you post more than one selection per meeting, all your selections will be ignored. As usual only selections posted before ten minutes before the first race starts will be recorded, so post well before then to avoid disappointment.
On your postings, please state the following to make it easier for me to record...
1) Race Number
2) Horse Number
3) Win or Place
An example might look like this
Race 6 Number 5 Place
Please can you only put the race number, horse number (NOT THE HORSE NAME!) and the type of bet in your selections to avoid confusion. If you do put in the horse name and it does not match the horse number, your selection will be scratched
If you do not state whether it is a place bet or a win bet, it will be treated as a win bet. If you post ew it will be recorded as a place bet. Points will be given as follows. A losing win bet selection -1. A winning win bet selection, the SP price quoted on Hollywood bets website. A winning place selection Hollywood/tote place price -1, a losing place bet -1. Should your selection be scratched, your selection will be ignored. IF YOU EDIT YOUR SELECTION AFTER THE CUTOFF TIME, IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE ENTERED AS A LOSING BET (-1). Your personal goal/ challenge should be to show a profit (a positive balance) by the end of February. Good luck and enjoy! Rumour has it that ABC are offering a grand in prize money. It's true!!! Scotia has given us a grand for prize money and he has asked me to allocate it. Prizes offered by ABC for the February competition are as follows..
1st R300
2nd R250
3rd R200
4th R150
5th R100
Where else can you win money for nothing? Thanks ABC, I hope other sponsors also come to the party.
For todays meeting, only selections posted before 12:35 will be entered for the competition.
