Yep - I had no electricity hence no computer, internet and TV.

We had the mother of all storms in PMB about 4.00pm. Saved my bucks.

If Start Sailing is sound and fit she must take a bit beating? her debut run has thrown plenty!

Start Sailing has the form to win the first, especially as she ran on over shorter on debut and should like the trip. Strong jockey/trainer combo also helps and the only worry must be why she had that lay-off after one run. Still, the Plattner team doesn't run horses unless they are 100% and to put it in plain English they can afford not to race horses if they are not 110% satisfied about their condition.

For the rest, I liked the way King's Guard led the whole way and demolished a reasonable maiden field first time out after being gelded. He could be well treated on his handicap debut today, but also comes off a lay-off. Touche and Desert Rat (who was running on from last over shorter in his latest start) also look the part.

I'll be at the Shongweni sale today so will try and catch the replays later - if there's no night racing in Turkey or Sierra Leone or somewhere.:D
