I must admit to seing it on one of the stills on T/track. The notofication is in blue and gold and could very well look like an add for the "play the tite, its the right thing to do" but in fact this is the notifcation to punters.

I do see Hibs and Karels point. Notify the media in writing so that they can assist in getting the message accross.

TAB has revised the rules for the Place bet with effect from 1 March.

The new rule is a follows:

* 5 runners or less – no Place betting
* 6 or 7 runners – Place payouts 1st and 2nd
* 8 to 15 runners – Place payouts 1st, 2nd and 3rd
* 16 runners or more – Place payouts 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th

So the secret here is that there physically has to be 16 or more runners before they pay 4 places? It is not actually CARDED runners?

Only thing that changed is the place payouts for 6 or 7 runners on local races, internationally they always paid. For local races for 16 horses past the post tote paid for first four places.
