Computaform forecast betting
14 years 5 months ago
I was going studying the card for Turffontein tomorrow and worked out two nice bets at the forecast betting. They are in Race 4: 3 Welwitchia (1/1 Computaform) opens 1/4 and backed into 1/6 and Race 6: 7 Roman Wall (4/1 3rd Favorite Computaform) opens 7/10.
I never thought either of these two horses would start anywhere near their Computaform prices but this forcast betting is a complete and utter joke. It looks like Harold Sterley just prices up according to what he has tipped.
Another for Turfffontein tomorrow comes up in Race 8: 10 Winterwonderland (25/1 Computaform) opens 4/1 officially. Winterwonderland two runs back rand 3.75 lenghts behing Oil Tycoon and is 3 kg's better off. They price up Oil Tycoon at 3/1 and Winterwonderland at 25/1. Anyone who uses these prices to work out an exotic bet could easily miss out Winterwonderland who in my opionion has a chance.
From these forecast people make decisions on what horses to include and could be seriously misled by these obserd prices.
What is the point of having forecast betting if it is so far off the mark?
