It is maddening how "P" push UK racing and yet 2 hours to Cheltenham, with all it's hype, and no bookmaker, including their in-house Bettingworld, are priced up.

Abit off the subject Rob... sorry to invade your thread
How come on Tellytrack the SP of the winners are always so short, I have been watching it carefully and notice the odds are at least 15% lower than Hollywood official winning price ....:S
A good example is Lewyn last night at Kempton, TT showed it as a winner at 1-1 and Hollywood had it at 18/10.....

Greg,is that specifically Cheltenham ,or generally?
To be honest ,because local betting is robbery,I use Betfair for UK racing.

IFor what it's worth, IMO..
There is normally a lot of action and big movers during morning trading at Cheltenham.. SA local bookies are not willing to risk it. Some companies do not even allow you to take the each way until close to race time. They disable the place market until later. Even now they are not offering?
So there is no value to trying and catch a decent price early-doors.
There are also some firms generally way below price of current international trading.

Greg,I don't know but would guess that they quote their own(ie Bettingworld)
I am not sure, but I was under the impression the' Starting Price' is a universal term that always represents the official price at the off,ie you can't theoretically have more than one SP.
I know that if a Bookmaker lays you a bet at "SP",the price on his board is irrelevant......it means the official SP.
