*Star Ratings for Consistantly Profitable Tipsters

I have an idea of putting a star in front of a profitable tipsters name in next months fun competition if we have one. That way we all can instantly recognise who the good tipsters are. To earn your first star you must end up with more than 100 points in this month's competition. So even if you don't win any prize money, you will still get recognition from your fellow clansmen for being a profitable tipster. Should you be profitable for two months running, you will then earn an extra star and become a two star tipster. Should you have an unprofitable month after earning a star, you will loose one star. Let's see who will be our first 5 star tipster! Do you think this is a good idea..?

UD...Yes lekker idea BUT it is a NEW RULE you proposing in the middle of the existing competition, us poor mugs who are eliminated would be at a disadvantage()......surely the stars should start AFTER NEXT MONTH?? ... Whatever you decide I okay with, you the boss (dictator)

That is a very good idea and I agree with that venture. It brings back old school memories when i still got gold stars for good work/tests. lol

Gregs seriously getting knocked out so early in the comp is having a bad effect on me . Learning how to be disciplined and started my own strategy with my little black book . Sadly farking Belmonte messed it up the other day :X

U_D I must thank you for the hard work put in, I cannot thank you enough and I think it is on behalf of the clan as well. My opinion is that this comp is making us better tipsters and making us think on how to spend our money, not just shooting from the hip but doing our homework. I like the idea of the stars since like it or not recognition is part of it and if that means that others will be rating your opinion to the more profitable good of the clan then it is to the better of all concerned.

I see the CLAN as a family and we should get into the habit of only tipping when we have really thought it through and thereby allowing the clan to get advise/opinions of a higher average quality all year round...we do not want to be a CLAN of LOSERS, right?

We all have a certain level of analysis combined with a balance of gut feel...but we need to all try and improve on that like a team improving on their game, lets start thinking more and lets start bringing our A game to the races every day!

Thanks again for the hard work U_D I can safely say we all appreciate you efforts very much.

For those who play golf/just like drinking bear I reckon we should arrange a YEARLY get together/golf/barbeque/pissup for the boyz and few girls on the CLAN since I must admit personally logging on here is one of the highlights of my day, the day can then include a few trophys for the bets TIPSTERS of the YEAR?
