Surely now Dancewiththedevil I think will have the highest merit rating for fillies and mares that have raced on SA turf only. What a spectacular win. (What about the July)

Her mother was a sprinter and her grand dam was kept to sprinting, even though being by Elliodor out of a Trocadero mare, there was stamina in her pedigree there. The grand dam's half brothers and sisters have all won over ground.
I also believe that Modus Vivendi is a staying influence.
Most importantly for me is her relaxed way of switching off and coming with a rattle. I believe she can get up to 9 or 10 furlongs, which means the July should be no problems. (It is an easy 11 furlongs)

Did Misty Dancing win on debut the same day Tommy Hotspur won on his. Was Misty Dancing trained by G Alexandra.

Exactly right Naresh. We won race 1 and Tommy won race 2. According to the trainer our filly was the only horse he had who could run with and beat tommy on the training tracks!
