9 horses die in stable fire

Nine horses were burned to death in a fire at the Cornerstone Equestrian Centre in Centurion, Tshwane emergency services said on Saturday.

"When we arrived there were only flames in one stable but the fire spread quickly.... nine horses were burnt to death," said spokesperson Andre Pieterse.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.

The Tshwane fire department was called to the scene at 06:00 on Saturday morning.

No people died in the fire.

what about the horses themselves. Whenever I read on these pages that a horse has did no body seems to be bothered about the horse as its always sad for the owners
