trainers wit 2horses part two

it seems i hav ruffled charlies feathers.no one professes racing is an exact science.lets take PE for example.Less fancied horses and jockeys hav been winning.it seems that stable elect jockeys viz coetzee ,kennedy that travel to pe take a back seat to k.minnie, ndlovu, bagloboile, khumalo . punters generally accept that it is the top jocks that get the plum rides and wager their bets accordingly.having said that i enjoy pe as i use their crookery to my benefit. by including all greef ,smith and snaith couplings u are guaranteed a decent payout. hav a look at recent results in PE.

for those who follow racing, the ffg less fancied horses hav won viz storm crossing, captains cove, sabatino, irish maid, erunderee, pmillers runners in kimberly and the list goes on.whilst i appreciate the fact lay offs, current form,blinkers/alumites , luck in running play a part, trainers generally trainers know which is the stable pick.these horses are gnerally backed at the last minute.watch tabgold odds. charles whose fooling who, is living in dreamland.

Kuben sadly where there is money involved you find this happening . Lets not paint all trainers with the same brush though .

Kubenn -

I don't want to invoke a full blown discussion on the above.
I just want to comment on Storm Crossing. The question is - Why did you assume that Storm Crossing was the lesser fancied horse, obviously by the bookmakers price and certainly not by any comment that the trainer might have made.
In fact Storm Crossing was the best rated horse in that race.

If "lesser rated" jockeys get up in the mornings to ride work then they deserve the "plum" rides.
Remember Dancewiththedevil . A lessor rated jockey rides this horse and guess what ..............the rest is history.

My advise is to study form and every other info that goes with form. Don't always follow the bookies prices.

Got to agree with east; I have been burnt many times by ignoring a horse just because a 'lesser rated' jock is on the horse - in most cases the general punting public (influenced by the bookies' prices and the mumbo-jumbo being uttered in race previews) often 'over-simplify' the possible outcome of a race - 20/1 shots also win races and only 1/3 of favorites win.

As Punter says (and confirmed by the guest last night on Winning Ways) you will always find some 'grafters' around where money is involved - if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen; however I would like to believe that in many cases even the 'grafters' get burned
