Saftote site is not showing exotic payouts yet. Perhaps they have got the accurate scientists at Teletrack calculating the dividends. Sure the result should almost instantaneous once the meeting is called off, or is remaining tickets thing BS?

Is this the correct approach? What is the rule? Do 2 legs have to run?
We have had many a debate on the integrity of the Tote. Even Mr Attenborough got involved defending the tote as a holy grail of utmost integrity. He took plenty bullets from the punting public and left for Aus shortly thereafter. (Probably pure coincidence).
This is not an intelligent bet - They run this thing like Mom and Pop run their ice cream shop! Part time hobby. The integrity of racing will never improve with this type of inconsistent nonsense, non stop inaccuracy from the broadcasting arm and lack of a common coherent vision for the future of SA Racing.
SA Racing is quickly becoming a rubbish product!

It says refunds are applicable "before either the first or second leg"
news.tabonline.co.za/Portals/0/tote_rule...sChapter5Mar2011.pdf
5.9.7.2. In the event that there are no full unit winning bets on a Pick 4 (jackpot) pool,
and at the same time, the sum of the percentage of bets purchased of all fractional
winners is less than 100% of the unit of betting, then the dividend shall be determined for
a full unit of betting and the balance of the dividend, i.e. not apportioned to the fractional
winners, shall be carried over in terms of Rule 5.9.11 or apportioned in terms of Rule
5.9.8. ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS: Subject to 5.9.9, if for any reason
whatsoever a Pick 4 (jackpot) race is abandoned or cancelled the dividend shall be
determined by dividing the net pool by the number of unit bets on the winning
combinations in the legs of the Pick 4 (jackpot) which were duly decided provided that if
there is no unit bet on the winning combinations, read in conjunction with Rule 5.9.7.2,
the provisions of Rule 5.9.11 shall apply.
All selections in any abandoned or cancelled legs shall be deemed to be winning selections.
5.9.9 REFUNDS: No refunds shall be made in respect of any Pick 4 (jackpot) ticket,
except in instances where a race meeting is cancelled or abandoned before either the first
or second leg of the Pick 4 (jackpot) pool. No refunds shall be made in respect of any pool
carried forward.

Although the above rubbishes my other post, you have to question the logic or inconsistency in applying different rules to similar bet types.
Comment on the tote integrity stands - what takes so long to post results. I hope its not a case of someone sitting with a calculator working it out "quickly"

Lots of talk on the 'free' site regarding racing in Gauteng in general versus the 'Garden Province'; in my personal view I really would not even notice if there were no racing in KZN apart from the 10 or so 'biggish' meetings in the 'season'; but that's just me - I do not begrudge those who prefer to punt/race in KZN.
That's not to say that I think everything is peachy in Gauteng; we all know that we have a shortage of tracks, too many horses to compete in too few races, night racing is a bit of a disaster, etc. But is it really any better elsewhere in the country?
Unless we get all-weather tracks, the weather will always be a factor - and lightning will still be a factor even if we have all-weather tracks, so the idea of having morning meetings is a good one imo. Does anyone have any stats showing the number of abandoned meetings per province for the last 5 years or so?

10 biggish meetings in the season is probably twice as many as Gauteng has. Lol.

been wanting to bring this issue up for a while and that is if you are going to have a feature race season imo instead of having 8 features on a card at the end of nov end of feb end of march and end of april rather spread those features out so almost all weekend and midweek night meetings have at least one feature race on it so to try create some type of atmosphere...some of the features on a 8 feature card get lost amongst them and they dont get the exposure they deserve..the computaform sprint for example deserves a day all on its own...also by spreading them you might have a top filly perhaps going for the male and female race ie the fillies and colts guineas the oaks and derby etc....as a racegoer i always enjoy attending a meeting with one feature on it...in gauteng at the moment during the season its either feast or famine with 8 features followed by a grooms day then a low grade meeting at the vaal for qualified maidens and mr 60s
