3 places or 4 ?

A quick survey : Interbet have changed their place betting when there are 14 runners or more to 3 places only.
Their reason is the following - " The overwhelming majority prefer to sacrifice 4th place for better odds generally available when paying 3 places"
While I am not questioning their honesty, I find it hard to believe that punters would protest to 4 places being available on interbet.
I am a big fan of four places - it has saved me countless times.
So here's the question - 14 or more runners would you prefer 3 or 4 places ?
My vote goes to 4 places obviously.

Why not give the punter the option of taking 3 or 4 places?

I understand they had a "dummy" run.

They had numerous complaints to revert back to the original formula and they have had an upswing again in bets since they reverted back to the old system.
Its difficult to keep everyone happy and they are very customer driven.
I am also in favour of the higher odds for the 3 places.

Greg I am sure that would be impractical to have two sets of odds, on the same page and a bit confusing?

I do notice under the "INTERBET TIMES" they have a fairly comprehensive feedback article, sorry cant copy and paste.

4 places for 16 or more runners in a handicap otherwise just 3 places if not a handicap race. Thats the way it works in UK

I prefer 4places, a bite of the cherry is better than nothing at all. I've also been given a lifeline many times with 4th place

I wish Saftote would be this cognisant of their customers.

Hollywood do the 4 places.....that is why I use 4 sites as it gives a good spread of whats available local

Dave I don't see the problem with ONE ONLINE BOOKIE offering 3 and 4 places, it would be a first in the market....

I prefer 3 places with 14 Horses and 4 places for 16 Horses, but CARDED NOT RUNNERS

hollywood give 4 places........... i prefer 4 places with 14 runners anyday. - even at reduced odds.
