I was with peter and bosch three weeks ago at clairwood watching the horses work when we saw felix on a monster of a horse trotting on the baby grass,it was gmtgl ,he is only two but look like a four year old

Rio Carnival the one to beat. I also liked Gimmethegreenlight but after new info surfaced, i am not sure.

Thoughts from an out-of-towner (usual disclaimers apply) on the non-feature races:

R1: I can't have Gimme at the weights - Rio Carnival and Sidestep to fight it out
R2: Hard to call - how good is the juvenile - upset not impossible
R3: Not cut and dried either - Detectorist eachway?
R4: Money indicates Atlantic Oak by a street
R8: Wicket Maiden (Delpech :S) good young filly imo - will improve this trip and at the weights I like her to beat Alinga and We Three
R9: Sheldon found Casey de Lady - must have a chance, but I prefer Rise Again
R10: ?

Hoping for M'Lords Throat to take it as I backed him at 25-1 but I believe Run For It will shed his unlucky tag today. Il Sagiatore deserves respect as well so could offer some value at 8-1.
