Explain to me please

According to my air hostess HIBERNIA was the old name for Ireland. Then how come HIBERNIA play in the scottish league and a scotsman can support them. Huh Huh:(

When the Micks came over the sea from Ireland they gave them green striped shirts mostly for Celtic and when they ran out of stripes the gave the balance to Hibernian and sent them to Edinburgh.
They could never earn enough to go back so the Scots just let them stay. >:D<

What's the story behind Bloemfontein Celtic? How did such an Afrikaans place get such an Irish sounding soccer team? Anyone know?

indeed the old name for ireland was hibernia as the old name for scotland is caledonia however i know of no team called hibernia we do have a team called hibernian
