I had a small tickle on Vertical Takeoff at 33 / 1 with HOLLYWOOD.............. I'm please to report I HAVE BEEN REFUNDED BY HOLLYWOOD............ WELLLLLL DONE HOLLYWOOD.

ANTSINNER who you punt with ?

Is it too late to re-instate a further runner to make up 20 ?

Tarry and i have a short history together(i don't know the man from a bar of soap ) .In the last 6 months almost every runner of his i've gone for has let me down .Just the other day winter cruise cost me 1.8 p6's and a decent size place double .
Seems he still has problems in the stable judged by the inconsistent performances of some of his runners and the long breaks some of his runners have between races .
I hope it turns for him as he is a very capable trainer .

Elvis i had a bet on Vertical takeoff on interbet but at antepost .That means i'm a gonner !
Used to bet almost 80% with hollywood but lately its marshalls and betxchange .

It's far too late to replace him with another runner. I have to say that two-and-a-half weeks before a race is an extraordinarily long time to finalise a field and this is quite likely unique in all the world, but I guess they want to drum up maximum interest for the July and one way to do it is to finalise matters early. You have to feel sorry for whoever was 21 on the list, but those are the breaks.

I have to agree with Magic but on the point of drumming up maximum support, I guess that you would be referring to the printing of posters etc. In 2008 two weeks was not enough time for the organisers. Desert Links, who ran 1.6 length 5th to the winners, did not even appear on the official Durban July poster.

Need I say more?
