vertical takeoff out of the july

as per the sahr website vertical takeoff has been scratched from the july ...pity that we dont have reserve runners for this race

Why no reserves? betting reasons?

no idea but considering what owners pay for nominating and accepting at different stages its a damn disgrace

Surely they could have a couple of reserves and if no one is scratched by the Tuesday before then take out reserve runners.

This is going to cause havoc in our family draw because there are 20 of us and now there will be a blank.

So just to clarify, if you took an ante post bet you lose your bet, however the horse was 25/1 or 33/1 so no deduction on other bets, and if you have a bet on the final runners in the last few days you will get refund.

The reason I think there is no reserve runner is due to the fact that our totalisator only can take in 20 runners per race. If they had reserve runners they will have to be carded 21 and 22. If the reserve runner had to take the number of the scratched horse it will cause havoc. And all this after Vertical Takeoff was supplemented after his win in the Lonsdale. Our Totalisator needs new software !!!!!!!!!

How are they getting on at Ascot this week?

All numbers over 20 qualify if you take no 20

Where 21 runners or more are carded number 20 becomes 20 and any other runner above 20. So if there are 30 horses running you will end up with 11 runners running for you and these pools are not commingled.
