Scotia on Fathers Day ;)

Good morning to the Clan and I hope you have been enjoying Royal Ascot this week?

I must admit, it has not disappoint, a great clash between Canford Cliffs and Goldikova and Canford will take some beating this year. I felt Frankel showed a chink in his armour but many felt it was due to the way he was ridden but time will tell. The Gold Cup went to Fame and Glory. The Aus/NZ star So You Think met its match due to a superb ride from Frankie complete with ban.

Easy Gold Cup win for Fame and Glory

So where do we go from here? 2nd of July we have the Coral Eclipse at Sandown where Workforce and So You Think should fight it out, then on the 23rd of July we have the King George where St Nicholas Abbey tops the boards at around 2/1 with Workforce, So You Think and Rewilding all around 5/1, we then move on to potentially the race of the season at Glorious Goodwood where we have the Sussex Stakes 27th of July Canford Cliffs vs Frankel.

As far as local racing the July Fever has kicked in and the Forum is full of the latest info and comments, as you are aware I am with Igugu all the way and really looking forward to attending the meeting.

Can`t wait until July boss

We have a couple of competitions in the pipeline in addition to our very popular Interbet "best tipster" posting.

We are also working on giving you scrolling odds on the Forum another addition for the punters.

Plenty sport this weekend and I hope the Bulls can keep winning as the lads at the local keep calling "give that man a Bells" when I walk in.
At the time of posting Crusaders 16/10, Reds 2/1, Stormers 3/1 and the Blues and Bulls trying to join the action at the top of the boards, enjoy the games.

Golf where the US open is "in running" and can Rory McILroy keep going?

Williams sisters back for more

Wimbledon starts next week and the mens title is very open but only a 4 horse race?

Federer 22/10, Nadal 5/2, Djokovic 4/1 Murray 7/1 ,spare a thought for Nick Newlife who placed a bet in 2003 that Federer would win 7 Wimbledon titles at odds of 66/1,Unfortunately Nick passed away but left the bet details with family...Full Story

Ladies: can Sharapova 5/1 beat the Williams sisters? Serena 5/1, Venus 8/1

As far as the Forum here are some of this weeks highlights

Will Igugu win the July?..................

6 places in the July..................

New stalls for PE...............

Don't these "blocked" numbers kill you? I have no choice to answer as most of the companies I deal with use this facility, but from Insurances, wine specials, do you have a few minutes for a survey? drive me crazy. Had a lass on the other day and I say "thank you but I am covered" and she says "but for R85 you never know when you will have an accident" etc, etc to get her off the phone I say I will check with my "consultant" at the bank and she can phone in an hour. She phones back and I get the lad in the plant to say "Mr Scott has had an accident, a box has fallen on his head and he has been taken to hospital" and she says "its ok will phone him next week" so guess who will be having another policy, she sounded so desperate.

"lead us not into temptation"

Finally to all us Dads have a great Sunday and hope the kids spoil us.

Good punting and may your God be with you

Scotia

Frankel ran faster in the middle 3f than the nutcase pacemaker ran in the first 2f,just to prove that he was very badly ridden, one of the furlongs = 10.5 seconds

MAC we get it at Kings Butcher in Pretoria and sure you can get in Boksburg and Benoni ? plus the Spar also sell.

TOM QUEALLY, who has come in for some stick for his premature move on Frankel in the St James's Palace Stakes, has defended himself by insisting he was riding to instructions.
