Agree, also not a Stormers fan, but being the only SA team left, I will shouting them home. Had season tickets to Newlands and sold them in 2009. The 'toothless wonders' of the Western Cape (about 5% of the crowd) spoil it for the true supporters of SA rugby in the Cape.

When England lose at any sport the Scots are happy. When Man U lose in a big match 90% of those who dont follow them rejoice. Its obviously a provincial thing. I loved it when the Bulls went out. Bringing politics into it holds no water.

CnC, I don't want to start something up again and I certainly am not having a go but perhaps you are missing the point. Capetonians in Newlands are shouting for a New Zealand team against the home side as they did pre 94 or let me rephrase that, are still apparently doing. It is very much a political thing in the context of our Sporting and Political history of SA and in particular SA Rugby.

al
I watch all the matches on TV so maybe I cant hear whats been said but I have seen many black people wearing the green top. Off course you will still get the odd person supporting the All Blacks because realistically they are a great and always have been the most popular rugby side the world over. I was at a match in Auckland awhile back and SA got humped and there were plenty of black guys pissed off that they lost.

Fair enough, I don't doubt that at all. It would be over an exaggerated generalisation to say that all black's support the All Blacks. I am just suggesting that some have not let go in the Cape and perhaps just shout NZ teams just to irritate. Judging by what Ou Ryperd had to say, it seems this may be true.

I have been to every home game this season and it's getting progressively worse.....even the Cape Times had a front page article about it on the Monday after the Crusaders game.....it's not like when Man U lose....watch the game sat and listen ,then tell me afterwards what u think.....
