Never mind SABC, the sports channels seem to be saying NO RACING ALLOWED ... never mind how short they are of sports footage on a Monday afternoon, they will show ANYTHING rather than racing ... some big international SA racing sucess on the weekend and they rather show tractor-pulling or a hot-dog-eating contest. I'm not normally paranoid but I wonder if there is some sort of internal policy to this effect?

Mind you I think racing has shot itself in the foot in this respect, by trying rather pathetically to show itself as an industry rather than a sport, like calling bets "investments" and winning "dividends". Maybe the Financial Times will pick up the slack w.r.t. coverage (joke).
