6 Places in July

I hope that the powers that be, revert back to paying only the first four places in the July next year.
I thought that the pay outs were pathetic, I could not believe that the 1st four places paid R1.20, R1.80.,R1.80 and R1.80 respectively, even the 5th and 6th place were poor at R4.20 and R 3.40

I had R500 each way English Garden as a saver to my bet on Igugu and lost money on the bet.

You would have won R875 with a bookie on the same bet ,hard to make a case for the tote at all when it comes to the win and place markets imo

And the idiots on the course keep going on about how great it is that you get paid for 6 places instead of 4 so you have more chances to win. More like get your money back with a bit of change.

My wife plays only on July Day a R20 place on 2 or 3 of the outsiders, she did Black Wing who at 66/1 was paying R3-50 a place I had to put R20 on World of Sport at 11/1 for first 4, for her as well as she was so disguisted at what it was paying. She has vowed to only play at the bookies from now on and would rather get 4 places instead of 6. I wonder how many other once a year punters they chased away with these 6 places?

Another small gripe I had on the day is it possible for the camera man to focus on the horse that Craig Peters is calling down and not the horse before as the once a year punter doesn't look at the saddle cloth or colours but the horse as it is being called and it does cause confusion when they don't match up.
