how do you think trainers will look if they blatantly lie to the public?the racing industry relies on turnover which pays stakes to owners...by giving out this so called privileged information to the public they bet on level playing fields to the so called in the know...by keeping info to yrself or lying you are committing fraud in my opinion..the industry must either have total transparency or they must shut their fcuking mouthes up about turnover dwindling and stakes decreasing...its one or the other//

So the owner tells the trainer not to comment as he doesn't want to 'get left'. Now what?

As a stable we try being as open as possible and anyone can chat or ask me what I think of any horse. I will never say the horse cannot loose as that is impossible to say but will be as transparent as possible. I really appreciate my owners as 95% are small punters and will tell anyone who asks their honest opinion. Most times we probably wrong but we try and give our best advice to whoever asks.

There are certain stables who are always willing to help. Don't fool yourself by thinking all trainers fit into this category, especially those who train for owners who have different opinions (to yours pirates) when it comes to relaying information.

do you think only one horse per race is fancied?if everyone was transparent it would create a far better betting market for all concerned and as such bookmakers would be able to lay bigger bets unlike the current situation..craig i agree with you and believe that a minimun of 80 percent of the trainers see the bigger picture in racing and would cooperate with the transparency issue...i watch interbet while uso is on and when a trainer likes his horse people back it on interbet straight away...this is the way we will increase turnover in the industry ...if i could have one rand for every time i heard a punter say what do you know what is the graft i would be a multi millionaire...GIVE THEM ALL THE INFORMATION POSSIBLE ...YOU HEARD MDK on sunday he was almost embarrased that punters did their money in cold blood on his first timer ...how do you think the punters feel doing their hard earned cash ?it could be so easily avoided..

Many a time the on course presenter conveniently forgets to inform the viewers about what info he was given pre-race.But hats off to DM-DM who freely give you the graft if they ® told so.Laff will not give you ice in winter.JG is a real shrewdie as you need to read between the lines when he talks.
