The following is an extract from the "Sporting Post"
"The Australian-bred first timer Dansili Express started at 18-10 favourite to win the first race for the De Kock – Delpech partnership but he was never a threat and finished a well beaten seven length adrift in eighth place, behind the 50-1 Dennis Drier trained Mighty Mars who gave jockey Jarred Samuel a welcome winner. De Kock said after he had won the final race on the card that the starting price on his horse was ‘ridiculous’ and suggested that the public were being misled by the betting on a horse who was ‘nice but needed much further.’ What evil forces is the straight-shooting De Kock alluding to here and what structures exist to protect punters from these practices?"
I heard yesterday that De Kock asked the presenter on course to advise the punters that they will do there money in cold blood. I did not believe the story then, but the above extract proves otherwise.
Apparently, the tipster still tipped the horse to run 3rd.
Well that is "on-course" tipsters, or rather presenters, for you.

Paul Lafferty tips the first 4 in the betting in virtually every race he presents and usually in the exact order of the betting. For me Deez is one of the best on course presenters in the country and Laff one of the worst in the country.

Laff knew the horse had no chance based on the trainers advice but good old Laff still tip it.
Laff is great at misleading the public. When Laff speaks I press the mute button on the remote.

dont blame laff you can blame the press people who bar one sit on their fat fcuking backsides and assume presume etc about horses chances in a race whether they 1st timers horses or coming back from rests etc...the rest of the world give their punters as much info as possible from trainers jocks etc so they have everything at their disposal to have a bet but we treat our punters like mushrooms by feeding them shit and keeping them in the dark...no wonder they have gone off to casinos and taken up betting on sports as in sports betting all the info is at your disposal ...in sa we accept a full 4 days before a race meeting so there is no excuse why vital info such as 1st timers and horses coming back from rests etc cannot be given to all punters via the press etc...i have tried in vain to convince the authorities that this is the only way forward and will increase turnover but they wont listen...there is nothing worse than doing your money in cold blood

What are the chances of a trainer being honest regarding their 1st timer before the betting has even opened?
You might be quick to mention that not all trainers punt, true, but believe me the owner or somebody within the yard does. Some trainers aren't transparent when their runner is already at the start!

I merely posted a question. Where is my opinion on this matter? Instead of being a prick why don't you answer it.
