Quiet right Hibs, Marcus gave it two slaps and it was on its way. I think evens is a gift to fav punters.

Clairwood's 1st Pinnacle - JEPPE'S REEF, sticking out my neck, a decent run in Gold Vase competition, penultimate run was impressive and beat Kolkata a subsequent winner since, in 3rd last start was a good 3rd over just 100m further than today's, in form Fourie, will be nibbling the best price.
Clairwood's 2nd Pinnacle - MARY LOU, outclassed in the Fillies Sprint and perhaps hated the going in the Camellia, in 3rd last start beat Give Me Five into 3rd a subsequent winner since, a good favourable weight differential and even more so as half the field lacks form, a nice price.
Mercury Sprint - SPLASH GOLD, easy and impressive in the Merchants, favourably weighted, has become a darling for me, but because of Magico, only 5/2 or better.
Republic Cup (Borrowdale) - EIGHT STREET, watta change in form for a change in scenery, only he and Grisham mattered in the prestigious Tankard (what went wrong for Winter's Night?), a beaten favourite in the OK, a hot Riddle up, havent seen the prices but only 33/10 or better.

i would be crazy to leave out Exclaim and Exclude and also the Bass coupling. Definite worries over the 1200m for Magico.
Marcus to catch up for the championship today

Thanks Peekay, this card does not look easy for me, you reckon 1,4,5,10,11 would be sufficient in the pick6??

Thoughts on Clairwood - use it don't use it:
R3: Neither Second Edition or Sylvan Breezes's debut's looks particularly strong form, so the first timer Quest of Speed needs to be considered
R4: Obviously Aegis-Fang and Leo Rapax stand out - none of the 4 de Kock runners make appeal but I'm including the coupling in the P6 - 4 for the price of 1 always a good deal imo
R5: Very poor field (and then you okes complain about the fields in Gauteng :S) ; load up
R6: Lion in Winter the right one imo - but again I'm including the Bass runners in the P6 - and Hammies Boy does make some each way appeal for me
R7: I like Carey's Qui - she has met Mary Lou 3 times recently and beat her twice (turnararound in weight favors Mary Lou though so she can;t be ignored) - imo these 2 stand out
R8: Slightly sub-standard Gr 1 field - seems quite competitive to me - Exclaim 'n Exclude (3 from 3 over this trip) has beaten Magico before over 1000 and E&E is arguably better over 1200 (while Magico still needs to prove he gets the 1200); August Rush beat Splash Gold in the Cape over 1200 (and AR is now better off in the weights) and again in the Golden Horse - Covenant must have a chance as well as there does not seem to be a lot in it between her and SG (taking the times into account when they both ran from unfavorable draws at Scotsville on Golden Horse Casino day) - those are the ones with chances imo
R9: Unannounced all the rage, but I also give chances to Second Tycoon (who has proved his class running only 3 lenghts behind Givemethegreenlight on July Day) and for P6 purposes the course record holder Wishful Eye is an obvious inclusion as well imo
Play well - and let's hope all runners come back in one piece
