That needs to be shown on TV (not Tellytrack) and link patriotism with the horse to create a following.
That is where you advertise the Tellytrack channel and market the fact that 232 is where future showings are to be found, and get the public's interest.
If people get interested in how our horses do overseas, they will start to follow them locally.
The problem is it cannot be a once off.
Kick it off on Winning Ways on Supersport and keep up the interest with some kind of serial type info coming through,to the point where more and more people are waiting for the Dubai carnival.
How ironical it would be if our local racing was to decline at the same rate we were achieving overseas. It would be criminal.

if only Phumelela were not so tight fisted and would spend some cash on general ad's things would happen - bottom line they have no idea about marketing - they pay people to do nothing(You know who you are and should be ashamed to take a salary)

Faux has the right idea imho ... I'd just add that we need to advertise our successes shamelessly even if we have to pay for ads ... eg if River Jetez was to win on 13th August, let SA sports lovers know all about it with bells and whistles. Ditto during the Dubai Carnival. Patriotism is a great puller, use it ... We are too negative, always moaning that our racing is sliding downhill, but we need hard facts, not fluffy speeches to counteract this ... too many waffling politicos on SABC already, no-one listens any more. Hard facts ... like Douglas Whyte, Mike de Kock, Bold Silvano ... jockey, trainer, horse ... we got them all, but who outside racing knows it? ... they will go on not knowing it unless we tell them.
