South Africa will experience its first ever conference on Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) in November.

“Millions of people in SA have had their own personal experience with ETs and UFOs Ä but most have in the past been too nervous to raise the subject, afraid of ridicule,” conference host Michael Tellinger said on Thursday.

The gathering would allow “those in the know” an opportunity to express themselves on issues like extra-terrestrial (ET) contact.

He said 13 internationally recognised and published leaders in the fields of UFOlogy, genetics, microbiology and biomimicry would speak at the event in Johannesburg.

Speakers would also address topics including alchemy, ancient wisdom, numeric science and the formation of a money-less society.

“The average person on the street is completely oblivious of the unimaginable progress in scientific research, so much so, that it would seem like magic to the unenlightened crowd”, said Tellinger.

“While there are still many who smirk in disbelief at the concept of alien presence in the universe and even here on Earth, those in the know are rapidly moving well beyond trying to justify their knowledge to the uninitiated.”

What of poltergeists, tokoloshes, ghosts, mediums (seances), etc?

In Stanger (Kwa Duguza), during the 80's, together with my friends and locals, we witnessed this ball of flame flashing out of a house (where a young female had been reported as having died in child-birth and the mother having 'stolen' a limb of a priest from a crematorium!)

We watched this streak, first sliding against the window pane, then, it darted onto a truck that was parked in front. Slowly, the reddish streak snaked its way to the end of the truck's side. Next, a ball of flame shot out and (like a fireball), arched over circa 300 metres, landing in a little pond of water to our right.

I decided to vist the woman of the house and drove up. My friends remained in the car.

When I spoke to the elderly Hindu lady, she said that she cannot explain what this 'curse' is. She said that when she put food on the table, it turned to sand. Then, the crockery would fly and smash into pieces on the floor, a ball of fire would start, etc.

I then left her and went back to the car (about 100meters away).

What intrigued me was; when I tried to start the car, it wouldn't! My friends were too shit scared to get out and kick-start!

I then had to get out and push the car..... it started!

From that day, to the day I disposed of it (Volvo 2-door), I never had such a problem with starting! Not even previously!

Poltergeists? Also ET?

In the late, 50's, I experienced first hand a 'haunted' house which we lived in on a farm called lot 16, Stanger (reported in the Post at the time), where stones would rain on the roof, knock on an open door, balls of fire, dog being knocked about in its kennel, chickens disappeared overnight, budgies shrieking wildly just before the knock, clothing removed from the house and left outside (with no sign of break in!), etc.......


Eerie it was!
