My info from Duncan McKenzie who took a horse to gallop there before the races was that it was ok until you came to the 200m mark and the pull up where it was very wet. That section has always been a problem as it does not get a full days sun on it due to the stands. Horse went in so deep that it pulled a shoe off during the gallop.I and most trainers would love an all weather track and that is what is on the menu if Clairwood is sold.
