Scotia back to normal

Good morning all and hope the Clan are all surviving during these difficult financial times.

Well as you may have gathered the trip to Scotland was magic...scotia on his travels.

My family really spoilt Mrs S and me and a visit to Auld Reekie is highly recommended and will just have to watch the ARC on the tv again this year (maybe 2012)? also had a few good times with Bob (Hibby) so my dummy run for the 60th went very well.

Catching up with all the sport is rather hectic plus have been busy as hell since my return.

Glad to see the site is still buzzing with interesting topics and keep them coming.

Class of racing

Who`s gonna win the Arc

So You Think and Snow Fairy
to meet again on Sunday

Back to the ARC on the 2nd of October where I might have 2 runners (but only at Clairwood, weather permitting) Sarifina and So You Think top the boards at 4/1 and maybe Workforce 8/1 can win again? has been good support for Snow Fairy 14/1 in a very open race, our friend Magic Lips is over in France and hopefully he will send us an update.

The Prix De L`Abbaye will also be run on the Sunday, also hope for big runs from Miss Diana and Kings Style, hope we don't have Ngong this week.

Ascot 15th Oct (official birthday) and I am sure my present will be in the form of Frankel who should only have to turn up to win the Queen Elizabeth Stakes but the Champion Stakes should prove a difficult call with Cirrus Des Aigles, So You Think, Midday, Twice Over and Nathaniel all in with a shout.

The big day in Australia is on the 1st of November where they have the Melbourne Cup and the nation stands still, well hopefully the horses don't do the same. Lion Tamer and December Draw top the boards around 12/1 but it might be worth sticking with Americain at 16/1 for an ew bet.

The Breeders Cup meeting in the States takes place on the 5th Nov and potential runners are Goldikova, Frankel?, Uncle Mo, Tizway, So You Think but a bit early for any selections.

The rugby has centre stage and again the Scots broke my heart, I watched them when arrived leading 2-1 in the soccer with minutes to go the again against the Pumas we have to play the auld enemy and I am sure the Scots have to win by 7 points, so expect them to win by 6 just to bring tears to the glass eye, at 6/1 will be having a bet for Sat.

Come on Scotland

Its again hard to see the All Blacks not winning the Cup but I have been wrong a few times with this prediction but happy with my evens, sure they are as short as 6/10 with Aus and SA the nearest challengers at 10/1, does it not look like we will have a Northern vs Southern final, if so maybe a bet on England, Wales or Ireland, need some help from our expert Garrick.

So whatever you do have a good sporting weekend and a bet

Good punting and may your God be with you

scotia
