hi Zoro,

i had a minicher pincher that was 17 years old. She was suffering and I took her to the vet. The vet called me and my family to come say our goodbyes and i was the last to arrive. Her eyes were open when i got there and when i held her i said it's okay to go now. After another minute or 2 she passed away in my arms. I have tears in my eyes just typing this.

may they RIP in doggie heaven Zoro, you did the right thing. There are many dogs out there who are not as lucky and privileged as your two were, find a space in your heart to adopt one. We did after our beloved beautiful german shepherd went on glandular cancer at 8, after which we adopted two very sick rescued pups from DAWG, they are super duper lovely dogs now.

Zorro, sincere condolences mate, people must realise that Animals become part of the Family, a few Years ago we had to put down our Bull Terrier aged 12 and our Maltese aged 19, the same Year someone stole our African Grey and my Wife and I were shattered, as you say, time will heal Zorro, and it is better to have the Animals you love, put down rather than see them suffer.

That is very sad. I know from experience that it is a very emotional experience. I've always had a thing for Great Danes and have owned several in my life, but they tend not to live long (10 years is a good run) so I've been through this trauma many times. I hate it with a passion, but rather think of the years of good companionship that they gave you.
