Not a golfing 'expert' by any means, but Bjorn has been in the mix quite a lot recently - so 20/1 not bad?

I see that Rory Mcilroy has split with his agent Andrew Chandler. Chandler as horses with de kock and other overseas trainers in partnership with Lee Westward

I hear Rory is not the most popular player on the circuit

It is such a pity that this event has moved away from top drawer to second tier at best. 1-American player????
Where is a guy like Keagan Bradley???
Where is Louis Oosthuizen, Ernie, Retief ect.????

I'm happy with Charl as he is maturing into a super player. He can putt......something South Africans are not really known for.

So what if they have Donald who is currently the number one player in the world.....He is not a great in my books.

This is not a stellar field by any stretch......Just my opinion!!!

I agree with you Tombo, use to get excited around this time of the year....(

It was always intended to be the highest rated available players.....every player in the field is ranked higher than Ernie or Retief (52&53 respectively)
If you look at the WGR the field is surprisingly stronger than at first glance.....just less of the familiar names.
Now to the punting....4 major winners ....I will eliminate Darren Clarke...I think Sun City is too big a party for him-I suspect he will wobble the last 2 days.
Mcdowell ...first time on track.
I think a nibble on Schwartzel and Kaymer for me .....and hope they show early enough to trade.

Rob I agree, am also going for Kaymer and Schwartzel, Charl being my first choice. Donald has unfortunately lost his father recently and had his second daughter born in the last month, his mind might not be fully on golf. Westwood won with contemp last yeat but players rarely follow up in recent years.

Should be an enjoyable tournament.

Darren Clarke tweeting at 4am this morning, battling to sleep from all the travel and jet lag....might not be the right one! Agreed, think he enjoys the party at Sun City too much!
