I know Gavin very well and his attitude sucks just like his ability, there are plenty other jocks i would rather have on my horses.

Flaming rock Thank you for confirming what I have said to my trainer .My advice to my trainer he knows who he is put a jockey on the horse or you may find your bussiness with empty stables

Harsh stuff. I heard that St John Gray had a rider stood down and when he asked " Who's available ? " the Clerk of scales said " Coetzee ! ". St John said " Sure, put him on ! ". St John found Gavin in his silks, when he expected FELIX, I don't think he even knew who Gavin was ?? Anyways it was a debutant at 33/1 and ran a well above expectations 3rd and nothing wrong with the ride AT ALL ! - Dat's da story I heard.

I don't know Gavin personally but if you don't want to use him, fair and well but why stick him away publicly to achieve what ?

Gavin rode a winner in PE a few months back...
He doesnt often get good rides.
But i have seen him win on a 100/1 at Greyville before...
Give the boy a chance you may be surprised.

unhappy, who did your trainer put on top in the end ? how did it go, that is if you've raced ?

the pity is that the LESSER jocks be it ability or lack of it, most of the time get to ride the SCRUBBERS at 100 / 1 & most of the time they do run down field. One may ask, why take a ride on a 100 / 1 - ANSWER the bottom jocks need all the rides they can get to pay the bills...... they don't drive B.M's & Merc's, & Lexus etc.

Where is Michael Schumaker today when riding for a crap team - NOWHERE , at the back somewhere. He's still got loads of talent for sure - BUT HE'S NOT GETTING THE GOOD RIDES / CAR

put him back in a FERRARI - a different story.......... motor racing not too different to a jocks life. i.m.o.

HOW DID YOUR HORSE GO UNHAPPY ?

the horse ran 5th after a fairly long rest .I was satisfied no I have never said anything bad about Gavin Coetzee but his stats speak for themselves he is probably a very nice guy and good luck to him. This is only a forum and everyone has a view mine is use the best rider you can get at all times giving yourself a chance.Remember jockies do not buy or feed horses owners do that and we deserve the best we can get, sorry that may sound harsh but can anyone tell me when your bussiness is struggerling is there a bank or charity that helps which I am not aware of.LOL
