Gavin Coetzee

Can anyone perhaps tell me when this jockey last had a winner Ihave a horse with a certain trainer and he wants to put Gavin Coetzee up admitabley the horse does need the run but I dont think we will learn anything by putting this jockey up.I pay good money for my horses and really do not feel the owner gets the best DEAL.Life is tough but we all have to survive in our own bussinesses.Your forums comments will be noted and my trainer can read them so it is an unbiased pole thank you.

What kind of rides does Gavin get?? He is riding a horse for me on Tuesday.

I know Gavin fairly well. Needs to be given a chance, he will try 150% on your horse, that for me is all you can ask for.

Shanks this is not personal it is about bussiness ,he is probably a very nice young man but the question I am asking is about ABILITY

probably a bad horse why dont you give him a chance and see how he goes if he doesnt shape you can always try someone else- maybe he has been riding the work and the trainer feels it fair to reward him for his work?

I agree with you unhappy. I have been in the same situation with various of my trainers.

All I can say is give Gavin a chance, he is hungry to try win some races.

i hope mr coetzee has changed his attitude from the time he rode a horse for me years ago...he was well drawn at greyville he jumped well and then let 2 other horses come in front of him and lost his position and the benefit of a good draw...when asked why he let them in he answered that they had asked him to to which i replied i didnt know that racing is a fcuking team sport.....

Gentleman your observations are valid and in certain respects I agree with as a matter of interest this horse I am talking about is very talented and has just been rested ,no problem to give Gavin a ride but the question really is the Trainer we can put any jockey on the horse.How do other owners feel remember a 3rd place pays the keep I pay the bills not the trainer or rider.

Surely the trainer must have a valid reason for the choice otherwise get a new trainer
