in the next year or 2,the figure quoted as the current size of sportsbetting turnover is being quoted at R660m so they (ladbrokes)are expecting that side of the industry to grow by 20% in the short future..

Wm Hill announced that 30 years ago Horse Racing made up 95% of their business,its now under 30% and falling..

Hore racing needs to be afraid,very afraid

Hibs I agree. I used to bet probably 70-30 in favour of horses and now bet 80-20 in favour of Sport. My favorite sports are rugby and cricket as they seem to run to form more than other sports.

The Sheer Courage debacle and other controversies don't do any good for the game.

I also bet approximately 70% of my betting budget on sport (soccer) & the rest on horse racing.
