Jet Master

I was wondering if anyone had news about Jet Master ... how is he getting on? ... recovering OK I hope. Just watched one of his sons, Lizarre, win the main race at Kranji today, over 2200 m.

Mind you I had to grin when Jimmy Lithgow commented indignantly after the race that the Aussie commentators ignored Lizarre in their pre-race chat, though he was 2nd favourite. It's been my opinion since I started watching TT years ago that the Hong Kong and Singapore (Aussie) commentators prefer to forget SA-bred horses and ignore them as much as they possibly can. Competition?

Jimmy Lithgow stands to be corrected as both Craig Evans and Andrew Frost both tipped Lizarre in Race 10. I do believe that our presenters, who spend many hours studying the card, are very astute and base their selections on form and not where the horse was bred.

I don't think Jimmy Lithgow was referring to the tipping, but to the pre-race talk-up ... mind you, we only get to hear bits and pieces of it in TT (sometimes almost nothing), so I do apologise for asserting with too little evidence. I went only on what he said plus what I heard, which was not the complete discussion. Sorry!

Top stallion and jump in now while they are still on the market. Rumour has it he will not cover again, but I realy hope this is not true. Always great when our own home bred stallions do so well!
