Stacelita is apparently favourite for the Filly and Mare Turf. She's the filly that beat River Jetez by less than 2 lengths in August.

Although rain is expected for today (Thur) clear skies are forecast for the weekend.
Classic
Uncle Mo - 33/10 - has a rare liver disease. One source says his Kelso victory was sparkling but the racecard says gruelling. ??. In his last start he earned the highest Beyer Speed Figure of 118 over a mile and more, higher than any other horse this year. Has yet to run a mile and a quarter. Unlike Havre de Grace and a few other Classic contenders who put up boring performances earlier in the week, Uncle Mo turned in an exhilarating training session yesterday.
Flat Out - 10/1 -70 year old trainer never saw a graded stakes win until Flat Out came along - a very easy winner in his last start the Gr1 Jockey Club where he beat Classic contender Drosselmeyer. Put up a "nice" gallop.
So You Think - 11/2 - making his dirt debut. Scotia says will be wearing blinkers (I assume for the first time?). Has worn the cups in Aus. Clears quarantine only today (Thur).
Breeders' Cup Mile
Goldikova - 2/1 - becomes the first horse to win 4 breeders' cups. Already the only three-time winner in Breeders' Cup history. Freddy Head, trainer "Will be her last race of her career".

TRAINER Freddy Head believes Goldikova is in as good a shape as she was last year when winning the Breeders' Cup Mile, as the mare bids for an unprecedented fourth straight victory in therace.

Mark Boylan, 14, of Banaghar, Ireland, was bowled over when the Breeders Cup management invited him (and his family) to sing "Stateside" between the 6th and & 7th race at 330pm on Saturday. Mark recently recorded "Stateside" on You-tube which is about the Cheltenham Festival and has had the racing fraternity raving ever since.

Cool Hibs, tks. I have to admit I've just been focussing on the Classic and Mile. I was pleasantly surprised to see St. Nick's Abbey carded, even though he owes me a fortune.
I read that most Euro trainers are sulking cos they were denied access to the turf track for training after the deluge yesterday (Thur). Only Roger Varian sent Faraaj around the dirt track and was back in the barn while Stoute was still fuming....I hope St Nick's schedule hasn't been affected.
