I know I'm not pirates :D but I agree - some of the 'form reversals' could perhaps be explained by the horse's weight - we just don't know as the weights are not taken (are they still in Cape Town?) nor published - would add another vital factor to form study imo

Statiscally, do the top rated horses carrying the most weight do better than the light weight lower rated ones? Do any of you know?

Pairwise comparisons don't work.
You can construct a speed predictor and scale it using predicted figures like those in winningform.co.za.
But I don't know how those figures are arrived at.
