ita a question of which came first ...the chicken or the egg..meaning:...jockeys will continue to push the advantage lines of what they can transgress.....like putting their hands down..in a finish...i think whether they win or finish unplaced they should'nt be allowed to put their hands down but push the horse out with their hands...then the policing aspect....why do jockeys not transgress deliberately in mauritius..simple...its because they know they will be kicked off the island and that is a huge loss of income...in south africa we have the best riders.....but scant respect of the rules...so the blame squarely lies on the policing and the repercussions.....because without stricter penalties..its a joke to the jockeys to be slapped with the 7 days suspension ...it needs to be harsher.....and a point system for the number of transgressions in a season...each time ...the penalty should get more severe.....then we will see better racing and more imp.safer racing

Stigma is a career killer, if a jockey repeatedly falls foul of the people that police the game, the odds are that he gets a bad name!!!!

Forget about horse racing, we are fast becoming a morally corrupt society. It starts with taxi's flagrantly disregarding the rules on the road and the next thing every chop in a Land Rover from the Northern Suburbs is driving like a taxi driver!!!!

GOOD QUESTION
The same can be be said yesterday when the Yogas runner was beat a short head.
If Manna was on the horse, there would have been another 3000 post on that ride.

Perhaps RF read this thread thus he is trying to prove his critics wrong by riding
to the best of his ability & he is giving 150% effort. He knows he is in the spot light.
Well done RF, rehabilitation is a slow process.

Eastexpo you were one of the first people to shit on fortune for his ride and now you contradict yourself, there is a difference between trying and failing and failing to try!

I'm sure they meant he loses on far to many fancied horses and not that he had never won on a horse that's favourite
