Scotia on a happy note B)-
13 years 6 months agoGood morning to the Clan and what a difference a week makes when you are a punter.
When I left the big T last week I felt great had a good day punting with PJ being the highlight, got involved with Breeders Cup and local racing on Sunday and basically threw the towel in.
After a dry week could not resist putting a few bob in the kitty on Thursday due to our friend Johno having a runner "Jack Rock" and Bob insisting that " Irish Flame" should win this one against the blind school, both at over 5/1 "Christmas came early"
So back on a positive note and was invited to meet the jocks at Emperors and what a job Bob and his team do, the attention to detail is superb and his sponsorship plus the citizen and others made it another day and night to remember for the visiting jocks and it was magic meeting the lads and have posted many pics on the site..Gallery
Well done to the organizers in promoting this event to a world wide audience and the talk is that the overseas lads will win for a change?
The sad news is that PJ may be scratched from the Summer Cup and apart from the fact that I have had a punt is that the high we were on from the euphoria of the Charity Mile and big crowds could put a damper on the Summer Cup day.
I was already feeling sorry for young David's not getting the ride but this will be a blow for the image of racing which I felt was on an upswing against all odds.
Tom signs a pic of Frankel for the clan
I did ask a couple of questions to the visiting jocks "Tom is it a possibility that if Black Caviar goes to Ascot could we have a dream match with Frankel over 7 furlongs" reply was " probably not as Frankel will be aimed at a mile and a quarter"
To Richard " regards the whip ban, is it possible that you might start banning horses" ? reply " no chance due to Betfair".
I will be off to Swazi this weekend thanks to my kids giving me a superb birthday gift, but have DSTV in the room and will be watching the challenge from the room.
The site continues to grow and at this stage everything points to happiness.
A bit short of time as we are hitting the road soon but plenty topics and views to keep you going from Horseracing, Cricket, Soccer( go Geordies) and much much more, enjoy.
Good punting and may your God be with you
scotia
