Yip poor bowling and fielding after tea and before the new ball cost us. Needed to keep it tight and let the weather play against them. Very dissapointing still haven't beaten them in a test series since readmission. (td)

Philander looks a find and he is going to do very well on English wickets. Just needs to lose some weight around the middle.

I know it's a cliche but cricket was the winner, especially test cricket ... what a last spell that was! Pity we didn't have another 30-odd runs ... but there you are, we didn't.

Pity also there isn't a 3rd match on the cards ... then it would have been the perfect series. As it is, with the final score 1-1, it feels just effens plat, but still it was two really grand matches and I for one throughly enjoyed them.

If we thought that Mcgrath was good I think that this lad Cummons is going to be a super star and will in his career take over 500 wickets.

Got to agree 100% - we let ourselves down at stages - and if one had to single out a 'moment that decided the match' I think that happened when Cummins bowled an absolute pearler to get rid of Kallis in the 2nd innings - still we could be reasonably satisfied that even without Kallis we still made a reasonable score in the 2nd knock - all in all what cost us imo was the way we threw our wickets away in the first innings
