Badger Lake to win again. Rain would do him no harm, he did well on the soft in Cape Town. I also like Enchanted Guest and Grey Goose.

poor card for a weekend especially a week before the summer cup...i still maintain you dont need to have 6 to 8 features on one meeting but rather spread them around a bit and make one of them a headliner for other meetings like today...at least it makes a bit of hype like yesterday we had the green point stakes on the cape card

I couldn't agree more.

Borrowdale: Mienie, Teetan, B Lerena, David, Muzi and van Niekerk all ride today.

Its the Gold Cup Sprint in which there are some familiar horses like Winter's Night, Jet Command, Sonic Barrier, Wishful Eye and Whole Kaboodle. But the one they will have to catch is ultra hot CONTROL FREAK. Five from five and every win has been impressive. Probably not yet caught by the handicapper; Derek David rides and pretty Lisa trains. Trying to establish if 6/10 is still a bargain.
