I reckon just call the meeting off. Weather terrible, more bad weather expected and the drainage poor........will most probably be dangerous for jocks and horses.

Craig can just give us those 2 winners next time out:)-D

I cannot remember having so much rain over this length of time. Nothing has had a chance to dry out before more arrives.

Craig are the yards able to keep their horses fit during this time. The training tracks must be flooded. What do you do during these periods?

Thanks for the regular updates. (tu)

The track is still very soggy gents (golf course still has huge puddles all over) - will post once I hear more from the track manager etc.

I see that the weatherman is forecasting that La Nina will be giving us above normal rainfalls until the end of Feb.

How many meetings will be lost on our tracks that are way below par.....all 3 in Natal, both sand tracks and Vaal turf and Turf not very resilient either.
Not good for local racing I fear.

But sometimes you just can't beat the weather. I am sure that the meeting lost at Greyville
is almost entirely due to the rain and that even with the best intentions there was simply no
way they could have raced

Absolutely true. - no ways would the meeting have taken place in PMB, as we have had a huge downpour at around 3.00pm. Raindrops the size of "mint imperials".
