140 Characters
“This is a new way of experiencing racehorse ownership – and it is clearly the future.” Twitterati Member

140 is the maximum number of characters allowed in a ‘Tweet’ on Twitter, and we are looking for 140 Characters to come together and experience all the traditional joys of racehorse ownership, enhanced by the highest levels of owner experience anywhere in racing, thanks to the use of video updates and social media.

We have put together what we believe is one of the best deals in racing: no money down and only £45 per month, inc. VAT. This includes ALL training, feed and upkeep, race entries, jockey fees, travel, vets and farrier. No Extras.

To give members the best of all worlds we have brought together Sweet Secret a proven filly who is already racing (coming a close 2nd at Folkestone on July 7th) and Miss Socialite an un-raced filly with limitless potential. Both horses have been leased from their breeders for the partnership for the 2011 and 2012 flat seasons, and are trained by Jeremy Gask. The horses will both run in the Social Media Racing colours, pictured below.

Member Benefits:

Daily Tweet updates on your horses
Weekly e-mail including a complete update on all the runners from Horses First Racing
Weekly video training update on both horses
Audio of pre- and post-race interviews with the jockey and trainer each time your horses run
The camaraderie and enthusiasm of your fellow 140 Characters
Free tickets to the races to see the horses run (by fair rotation – a number of half price tickets will also be made available)
An annual party for all 140 Characters at the yard in Sutton Veny, Wiltshire
4 ‘drop in’ dates per year, to visit the yard and meet the horses (next date 10th September)
A full share of any prize-money won
Refer your friends – for each one that joins (up to 6) we will knock a month’s fees off the end of your agreement as a thank you.
Start Date
Membership is open from June 1st 2011, and we will accept applications for as long as places remain available. Benefits and fees start from the 1st of the month you join in. The partnership will run until the end of October 2012.

How to join 140 Characters
If you are interested in joining please read the full terms here or download them as a .pdf file: 140 Characters Racing Partnership Contract_Oct2011.

Team G racing- GVZ has something similar and looks quite exciting for people that want to own a small share in a horse without any upfront fees
