Talking about Trainer comments ..
13 years 6 months ago
Uk trainer James Ewart was on the tv at lunch time as a guest, when asked about his 4 runners today he said Vosges was his best chance of a winner today..
Unfortunately Vosges was 2nd at Musselburgh but his other 3 fucking runners won

Most trainers wnt admit their horses are rubbish cos they dnt wanna lose a paying owner,so the normal line is"working well, hoping for a decent run"
Translated "its a piece of shit, but I need the monthly fees to pay the bills" lol

Most trainers when asked try and be honest with their comments but you are dealing with an athlete that cannot talk! It is by NO means an exact science training. They are not cars or motor bikes that you can plug a computer in and find out what is wrong. Even the best trainers in the world will be wrong on many occasions.

Its not fair to say that trainers are misleading.
People can and are allowed to be wrong and baffled now and then, if not how will we have winners and losers.
As well, we always want info from trainers so they must be doing something right if the media report and the punters keep using trainers comments as guide lines..
I'm a huge fan of Horse racing trainers..they are managers of athletes!!but not athletes that can talk and let you know how they feel..even the managers of humans have problems..look at Carlos Tevez and Mancini..
