Changingoftheguard does not want to set the pace. He broke too sharp today and Fourie found hismelf on the lead. I thought he did a good job under the circumstances. The colt himself showed high courage, as he fell half a length back with just a few jumps remaining and regrouped to miss by a nose on the head bob. He was in front the step past the wire. He is still very green and this race should teach him something.

Yes Barry, Richard was looking for Peregrine Power to go around him but that wasn't going to happen... Why was Changingtheguard not entered into the Selagor Cup?

I can't disagree with your comment Barry, but i'm not too sure he is ready for the derby. He just looks a little immature still.

Lucky we only have 6 races per meeting
Could you imagine him doing your meetings, run out of slips
