BTW, how come there's no thread yet on the Hong Kong international races next weekend? I hear that Barend Vorster will get his chance to ride Rocket Man in a big race when RM tries to go one better on last year's memorable defeat by JJ in the Sprint.

Now that I've used my opportunity to show off that I know something, watch poor Barend get the 'flu and be replaced by Felix.....

Magic, anyone, it's not strictly on topic but now that you mention him it reminds me I've been meaning to ask: Barend Vorster, what's his background? There was a period I was totally out of racing and maybe he rode in SA then, but I don't remember him at all. Did he ever ride here and who for?
