Mr Black Cap I'm gonna speak to you in the only language you seem to understand, our batsmen can't seem to be able to handle pace bowling or spin bowling, our bowlers can't take wickets ffs, and our fielders seem to have butterfingers. Our team is ready for retirement and we need some quality so please pick a team on merit and renew contracts after every three months, and don't pick a side on quota or nepotism .
And I'm sure the boys will be happy with a split screen coverage for big races, you know the one we see during a cricket match when the batsmen is running and the fielder is chasing

A proper split screen is one thing. That ridiculous chopped-in-half quarter screen junk that they keep giving us is quite another. Minimising and decimating a picture are not the same thing.
Yeah, don't tell me. They don't have the money for the better technology.

They should stop that ''tipping sevice'' (Who cares what Alvine in the data room tips)... start focusing on what appeals to the viewers...!!!

I cant handle all the results and dividends and what big Ben tips etc, did we not have a button where u could click for all this info? We should keep the screen clear for racing ie the horse and the info separate IMO

I couldn't agree more, Dave. Not everyone is interested in the PA for Lingfield or (shudder) the tips for Ngong, and to lose out on what we want to see for this non-stop barrage of unwanted data is more than a bit annoying. However, the standard "we can't afford it" excuse doubtless apllies.

It is in line with the "can't afford it" that I am amazed when presenters, who are not needed IMO,are all treated to the big meetings countrywide ie.Summer Cup.......every tellytrack presenter was in Jhb and they then employed Neil Andrews and Andrew Bonn to actually do the job.
Couldn't quite understand it myself!
(I would hope the sponsors paid for Julie to be in Cape Town yesterday)

I am not sure if its done wittingly or unwittingly by TT but one of the observations I have made when visiting the tote is that there are very few purists in those venues. A race is a race is a race another betting opportunity. I have often gone in and ask a few regulars what they like in the grade 1 (which normally is 4 or 5 races away) and they tell me they have not looked that far into the card yet. These are guys that sit in the tote religiously on a daily basis.
Perhaps TT is playing to that audience and it is only us purists who want more than that.
KR did once state that a second channel will be looked at once South Africa migrated from analogue to digital signal. With the shuffling of cabinet and the loss of Minister Padayachee, the 2013 deadline may move out. The knock on effect is that we will be watching Ngong et al for some time to come.

Whilst TT remains a "betting channel" this will continue, as this is the mandate or instruction from above. I remain steadfast in my belief that Racing needs to seperate Betting Operations from actual Racing Operations, in order to survive. The two CANNOT be controlled by the same company, especially since the Betting/Turnover side calls the shots, mostly at the expense of the Racing side/Owners etc.

if you actually think of it it is more important to move on. What you would have heard from the jockey is exactly what you have seen in the race itself (its not if this horse is an unknown) Horseracing ie gambling moves onto the next event once the previous is over. Bottom line if you guys dont like watching tellytrack then you have option to switch off. The power of the remote is not to be underestimated.
