Greg, I stopped punting just before the world cup - Had I punted my selections I would have made a huge profit - (a mate of mine punted my selections and made a fair whack) - Racing has far too many variables and from what i see on this thread most people lose more than they win - My advice for those that want to make money - Super Rugby - Watch the first week (maybe second also) and then pick your 2 teams that should lose more than they win and enjoy!

You make perfect sense MR H, punting on the horses is just an hobby for me.... sometimes an expensive one at that...()

Greg - you are correct. It is very difficult to punt horses on the nose. That is why i play PA,s and hope for the best.

PA almost like Blackjack imo - you probably not going to get rich - but al least you lose more slowly <

I would love to meet the real players that makes a profit over a year in this game that can say they are in profit....

Greg Super Rugby is great you can from certain bookies get 19/20 the pair on the handicap and pay no betting tax. I bet far more on Sport than horses now is a bit of an off season as I don't back much soccer other than outrights prefer Rugby and Cricket. As Mr H says after a couple of weeks of Super Rugby teams generally start showing their stripes. I generally only play PA's and Pick 6's and if I like one good one on the day have a punt on it.
