PROFIT/LOSS 2011

Did you make a profit punting horses this year?
I broke even I suppose as I have not had a bet for about 3 1/2 months -
If you made a profit was it from a BIG HIT or controlled punting?

Way infront on SA racing,doing my balls elsewhere

Nope did well with Frankel and PJ but other bets were less successful.

Almost breaking even, after pick 6 win on Summer Cup day

Down this year and also the last couple of years

Big freakin loss! So have not had a bet in 4 months

Made a very small profit, nothing to write home about.

Down, down, down...hoped my trainer could keep my interests alive, but there goes that thought, it sure looks like money kept in the bank is the better prospect. Maybe this game is only meant for the filthy ri$h and not us everyday punters!!!

i think we all have to be brutally honest with ourselfs.horse racing is a business.this business is makin profit every year.ask yourself from who?in my books its one of the industries that wont suffer during a resession.so if you looking to invest do so in property,gold & other mineral resources.if you good horse racing as well
coming back to horse racing,there is only a few of us that can honestly say they made a profit bcause if all of us say we broke even or made a little profit then how is the industry making its money?
a betting structure,patience & a decent strike rate is vital because whats the point of investing money into horse racing is not to make a profit at the end of the day?
