Sehwag Breaks World Record
13 years 6 months ago
Sehwag has just hit a 4 to go to 201 and break Sachin's record of 200 scored against us. There are still 6.3 overs left so who knows at what score he will end up. Congrats to the most aggresive batsmen of our era. (tu)

that record can only be beaten on an Indian wicket. Its neigh impossible for somebody to score a double hundred anywhere else in the world in a 50 over match as the Indian tracks are a joke. Those wickets are destroying the game as batsman love playing their as to boost their averages. Its no coincidence that the top batsman in the world playing today are Indians. If the likes of De Villers, Pieterson and Kallis were Indian they would have at least 5000 runs more in their careers by now.

And grounds in sa and aus are prepared for pace bowlers so what's your point?

My point is that runs are freely scored in India regarding Sehwags 219. In SA and Aus the wickets are mostly prepared for an even contest but in India it favours the batsman.

Chicken and chips, I get ur drift to a certain extent, but I disagree with u saying that Kallis n devilliers, etc would have 5000 more runs if they played in India. The fact of the matter is that no matter which country you play for, one still has to play all over the world..in 2003 the world cup was held in SA.. Kallis played and so did Ponting, clarke, gibbs, all top batsman.. But an Indian in Sachin Tendulkar scored the most runs.. Taken out of his 'comfort zone' put in a fast bowlers paradise and he still comes up tops..
And for how many years has Kallis played? Be is in SA od India, he will never, ever make a double century in ODI n neither will any South African..it takes a different mind set and courage to go after the bowlers in an ODI(50 over match) like what Tendulkar 1st did n what Sehwag did

I may have exaggerated a bit when suggesting that Kallis and De villiers would have 5000 more test runs. Tendulker is a freak as he is so bladdy good. Sehwag looked like a village cricketer when he played in England a few months back. Looking forward to see how they go against the new born Aussie attack over Xmas and New Year. Only Dravid will come out on top.

C&C
It's going to be a learning curve for all these youngsters in Australia.
The two that will shine in my opinion is Kohli and Rohit Sharma

Ja
I really think that they should drop some of the senior players, no matter what the results are.
Will talk tomorrow afternoon. I have to go out early tomorrow morning but should be back by 3.30pm
