A race is a market, so betting in 10 races a day would take you to a 1000 markets in 12 weeks. If you are a favourite layer you could do 30 a day and be bored...you would do 1000 markets in 4 weeks.
But don't sweat, a million pounds in 999 markets will keep you in business. How hard can it be to keep your profit at an average of a £1000 before you trigger the holy trinity 1000 market mark? Probably easy for you.
All the best and please keep us posted once you are there and firing.

@ Mac
marketfeederpro
is the best one i found (and use) if you good with excel this software is limitless.
an example you write a "desire" in words and the translate it into excel
" 5 minutes before the start of a football match i want to lay the draw provied the ammount traded on the game is greater than £100000, when the games starts i want to continue to bet in the game by attempting to lay the draw back and ensuring i make 2% nett profit what ever the outcome of the game, i want my stake to be £20"
simple as that

if you betting in 10 races a day you are a trader and not a punter (succesful one)
this is simple, if you are a trader/scalper you will be in 100000's of markets and you will pay on your nett earnings over the year.
If you a gambler/punter and use betfair for getting on and you are succesful then you wont pay fu ckall because you wont be a sick puppy betting on every race under the sun
hope this helps

@ Jack
which is why having a MSA (master sub account)
is the way round paying the fees (with their consent)
So you have a global account with 10 sub accounts
I use mine as follows
1: in running laying hurdles
2:in running laying chases
3: USA back to lay
4: SA racing
5: All other racing
6: sport mainly football
I dont have the problem of having to pay in because i am nowhere near the £250K but that would be paid on the individual acc and not the msa.
this was still the case as of a few months ago, maybe things have now changed?
