Yes.

Gavin always gives good advise to punters. A true gentleman.
When he used to ride, he always told punters when he felt his horse
had a chance of winning.

I was having a pub lunch with an American friend who was totally astounded with Gavins input about the horses to the punters.He made some dollars from Gavin advice and he went on to say that he never had such advice from any presenter like that in the USA. Well done Mr Venter and keep up the brilliant work.PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICAN.

Gavin was a star today. Keep it up... On the downside teletrack shows alot of overseas rubbish. We miss out on the cantor past and sometimes the valuable input comes in to late as it is already race time.

Gavin loves the game and he sure knows his stuff. With no disrespect to anyone, it's great for once to have a presenter who's actually been there and done that. Almost all cricket commentators are former International players, after all, and Gavin is eminently qualified to do the presenter's job.

Although I think what he really misses is riding. I'm sure he won't mind me repeating what he told me, that he and Felix were the last of their intake of apprentices to still be riding and that he really wanted to "outlive" The Cat in the saddle. That was not to be, but Gavin still has a lot to offer the game.
