This Musir was impressive lastnight! He is gtng better and better

He was never really stretched at any point in the race ... the only reason the second horse got to within a length of him was because Soumillon was gearing him down the last few strides ... you can see him standing up in the stirrups. And he never felt the whip, just a few little taps down the neck.

All the same I'm wishing the time had been faster, then it would have answered the question we were all asking, "Does he stay further than a mile?". We still don't know ... the race was a 1000 m exercise canter and a 800 m dash.

Congrats though to Mike de Kock ... four meetings = four main races: three wins and a close second. And this is without his usual contingent of classy SA horses that he usually takes to the Carnival.
